& ASSOC focus heavily upon educated and informed recruitment. We select tertiary qualified quantity surveyors, typically within the top 10% of their undergraduate years. We recruit solely with longevity in mind and endeavour to retain staff throughout their entire career.

Tom Plenty
Director -
BMT
& ASSOC
Tom has over ten years experience in the building and construction industry. A founding Director of
BMT
& ASSOC, he has been involved in many and varied projects. Tom's experience has included: construction estimating, cost planning, cost management and project management. Tom is actively involved in client projects, and leads the cost planning team in areas of: estimation and cost planning, cost control and management, dispute resolution, and construction cost claims.
Tom has lectured at a tertiary level, combining an up to date industry viewpoint within a thorough theoretical framework for students. He is also responsible for various published papers within the construction industry.
Tom continually keeps abreast of the changing nature of the construction industry, enabling him to provide expert construction advice in areas of dispute. Tom is focussed on providing clients with value adding solutions for all property depreciation and construction cost consultancy services offered by
BMT
& ASSOC.

Brendan Farrugia
Director -
BMT
& ASSOC
Brendan has over twenty years professional experience in the construction and development industry. Being raised in a family development and construction business, Brendan spent many years on-site, on the tools and managing development sites. Brendan then obtained honours level in a Quantity Surveying and Construction Management degree, and then was employed by an international quantity surveying firm working on many key projects.
Brendan expecting a higher quality service provision then formed and incorporated
BMT
& ASSOC Quantity Surveyors in 1997; and is still an executive director.
Brendan has an exceptional understanding of construction detail, method and system. With many years of onsite construction management experience, Brendan and
BMT
& ASSOC have been selected by many industry sectors to provide consulting services such as, the courts system, financiers, funds managers, government departments, investors and developers.
Brendan has also lectured for several years at a tertiary level to Construction Management and Quantity Surveying students on topics such as Quantity Surveying, Facilities Management, Procurement systems, and Project Management
Brendan is also a recognised public speaker on the full facet of Quantity Surveying Services and maximising the tax depreciation potential from property. He is a keynote speaker at the World Property Summit, many real estate agency conferences and government department conventions.
Brendan is involved in all facets of
BMT
& ASSOC, including operations management, business and systems development. Brendan is confident that the exceptional growth of
BMT
& ASSOC since 1997 from one person to over
100 is the result of exceptional personal service, superior product and listening to what the industry is seeking.

Bradley Beer
Director -
BMT
& ASSOC
Brad has almost ten years experience in the building and construction industry. He commenced employment with
BMT
& ASSOC in 1998, becoming a Director of the company in 2002. Brad's involvement in a wide variation of projects enables him to provide clients with specialist experience in areas of: project management, project control, construction estimating, cost planning, cost management and tax depreciation.
Brad has been responsible for much of
BMT
& ASSOC published cost control and capital allowances literature, along with our newsletter, Maverick. Brad is also actively involved in new business development, presenting
BMT
& ASSOC services at conferences and exhibitions.
Brad's combined experience and enthusiasm ensure that clients are provided with value adding solutions for their projects.
